We got to keep the atv out of the mix I don't think there insurance covers them I will check on this. There is a lot of places to ride them that are way more fun and legal. Next thing you know there will be 20 of them there. _________________ Owner of "The Big Tire Job

| My opinion and it's just that, atv's and trucks shouldn't ride in the same areas. We move too slow and they move too fast. That situation is just asking for trouble and it's always the atv rider who ends up hurt. This isn't a one sided view of this, i have quads also but wont bring them to a truck event. |

Some 15 year old asshole on a quad at the last event almost ran into my kid because he was in a hurry to get past some slow moving trucks. My wife hollered at him about it.
I understand DTRP wanting to draw more people, but if that happens again, my truck will be parked on a quad. _________________ Shop on wheels. |

Agreed, not the place for 4 wheelers (quads, atvs, things for people that can't ride dirtbikes, etc). _________________ Experience is more important than parts in most cases. |

well i was on my atv last time and was able to help 4 people out once by going and finding another truck with a rear tow point to pull someone out, and 3 other times just by passing buy and seeing someone the needed to be rocked back and forth for traction and winching a big tree branch from under a jeep.
I'm not trying to no way stick up for myself but am saying that i came in handy for the guys i did help out.
But I'm also not one of the assholes who do ride sport quads are tear shit up. Also when i talked to tony last time he didnt give me any hassle but who knows. |

There is a safety reason why Rausch has a completly different park for ATV's and dirt bikes than the one for 4x4's.
It is a two sided sword. They can pull more people in by allowing more types of vehicles, but they will also loose some as a result. |

| i didn't know rausch creek was that way, haven't been there yet. All of the parks i use to frequent out in cali are that way, for safety. Now I wasn't saying that all atv riders are dangerous and i hope no one took it personal. I have been on trail rides where a quad has tagged along. He wasn't passing the trucks like they were standing still 4 feet away, He was riding slow with us, to me not a safety concern. I just don't want to feel bad when i get thrown off my line and hurt someone on a atv or hurt someone coming the other direction that couldn't stop. I have personally witnessed both of these happen, not to me in my rig, to others, the result was the same for both atv riders trips to the hospital. One left in a helicopter the other in a ambulance. |

| dtrp is no place for quads. quads are just as dangerous as a motorcycle. at least the motorcyclists obey the rules. i seen to many atv idoits zip around like its a field day. someone is gonna get hurt and when tat happens there gonna shut us down. keep the quads home!!! |

A few years back at snodrift rally, some yahoo on a snowmobile tried to race travis pastrana on a stage. The stage was flagged and dropped. Rally america has very strick spectator safety regulations. If one dick steps into tge stage, the stage will be cancelled. I understand some bigger ohv parks have room for all, but i think dtmp should be trucks only. I have no interest in watching atvs or bikes at a truck event. Id go watch them on their own course.
Its kinda like when ski resorts opened terrain parks to skiiers as well as snowboarders. Now you have 3 times the volume using the features, which ruins them faster. Plus you get every wanna be in there, and 5 year olds wedging down the middle of the halfpipe. I guess its just a sign of the times |
